You don’t know the power of the dark side…of Truetone! Try the Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12 Power Supply for your Pedalboard.
I live in one country and travel to another to live for extended periods of time, and my trusty 1Spot has followed with me many a time. I have a Pedaltrain PT-2 and love the size of it. I looked at the Voodoo labs Pedal Powel plus pedalboard power supplies and decided to keep looking as they offered a power supply that was ‘region locked’.
My BBE Supa Charger could switch voltage, yet not enough power spots. Then I read about the Truetone 1Spot Pro CS12 Power Supply. My search had ended.
The CS12 is an isolated power supply supplying power to, you guessed it, 12 pedals. There are a multitude of options to power your 4.5-9v, 9-12v, and 18v pedals. The power is supplied to the unit through a normal computer cable. Be sure to have the switch places on the correct voltage for your country and you are ready to rock.
The steel construction is road ready, and the mounting brackets immediately suggest an install under a Pedaltrain pedalboard. The size of the power supply itself is substantial, yet clears the floor when installed.
The problem with the Pedaltrain PT-2 is that the CS12 is big and the switch for the power voltage would be stuck behind metal. I got out my drill and drilled out a 1/2″ hole in order to flick the switch whenever I need to. With the Pedaltrain Classis 2, there is no problems of drilling or height concerns with the power supply in place.
Really, I think the point is that the CS12 offers great, clean power that doesn’t bleed into the next pedal so that there is no extra sound added to your signal. Radio signals, cell phone conversations, baby monitors should not be heard through your pedalboard setup and amp.
