A great pedal in it’s own right. The Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet Overdrive!
Late to the Party
It a beautiful SD-1 clone (some say, a TS-808 clone, but that would be false).
Either way I’m switching between the Vintage/Mosfet and the Compcut/Mosfet setting!
Anyone of able talent should be absolutely happy with this pedal. Clear, distinct lines. This pedal plus a comp makes my eyes water! It’s one of the most tweakable drives out there, and at half of the price as a many other boutique effect pedals.
Goose another cleaner drive with this one for some awesome lead tones! The Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet…
Tip for this pedal: Use an 18 volt power adapter instead of the 9 volt you would assume to use. The Klon Centaur and the Maxon OD-820 both accept a 9v, but then convert the power to 18v within the circuit! That should tell you a little something about this bad boy.
One thing about it, however…It does not have as much compression as a Tubescreamer, OD9, or the like…
Sample favorites…Vintage, Mosfet, Volume 1:00, Overdrive 11:00!!!
UPDATE to Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet Overdrive:
I’m just not using this thing the way it should be used, obviously! I don’t like the Comp Cut setting , either…
I have found myself wanting the crunch of a TS9 lately. Not just that, but a TS808…Not just that either, but 2 – TS808’s….. Enter, the Visual Sound Double Trouble Overdrive Pedal. I’m not too sure about what this experiment is going to amount to, but I’m pretty sure that I’m making the right choice. It just seems that the pedalboard needs a green pedal to take it’s place… The
Analogman King of Tone – JHS Morning Glory Clone will take up the slack for the in-between times… We will see, oh yes, we will see…
